First open day a success

Despite the cold weather, over 80 people joined us throughout the day on Friday 18 December 2009 to see what we have to offer and meet the Bath team.

Six specialist providers were on hand to demonstrate the latest equipment for people with sensory loss.

Thank you to everyone involved, including Specsavers, who generously sponsored refreshments.

We will be planning a second open day for Spring 2010. Don't forget our drop in is open weekdays 1000 - 1300.

Specsavers sees way to help visionPLUS

We are delighted to announce that Specsavers has generously agreed to support our visionPLUS services.

The Specsavers’ team in Bath has pledged £3,000 to visionPLUS with a commitment to raising a further £2,500 through fundraising events held over the next 12 months.

Mr Lodge, Store Director, says: ‘The charity fits perfectly with both the optical and hearing services we offer at the store so we’re delighted to have formed a partnership with them.  We pride ourselves on offering customers the best possible eye care and hearing services and the relationship with visionPLUS will help us to improve on this with the training they will give to staff.’

This is a fantastic partnership for visionPLUS and we very much look forward to working with Specsavers over the coming year. As well as the store’s fundraising efforts, we will also provide both disability and sign language training to staff which will help when they are dealing with customers and further improve the great level of service they already offer.
